Weight a Minute!!

This last month has been really busy. Mollee has been working on becoming a professional ice skater after watching the Olympics and Logan has been busy trying to get into the Guiness Book of World Records with the longest projectile of spit up. Any bets as to who is going to make us the most money?

These two are working on getting to know and like each other. One day Mollee will be tickling Logan and the next minute she is telling me that she hates him. She loves to help give him baths, but then quickly shoves him out of the way because her barbies need to be clean too.

Jon and I have realized that we both packed on the pounds while I was pregnant. It's funny how it's so easy to gain weight, but when you try to lose it, it's torture!! We've decided that in order for us to both be running around in our skivies this summer, we better get into shape so that we don't scare anyone!!

That's right, swimming pools beware!! Stretch marks and belly fat or not, we are ready to dive into warmer weather.

The Ups & Downs of Delivery

Well, I lived! We had planned to have a C-section on 2/10/10. In preparation, I had to go to the hospital the day before to get registered and have blood drawn. I am deathly afraid of blood and have passed out a number of times from blood-related incidents. I got my bracelet and went to the lab. The technician was super nice and super fast so that helped. I told him that I hated to give blood and he said that he would be more worried if I loved to give. He then said to make sure that I didn't lose my registration bracelet or I would have to re-give.

The next morning at 6:00 I walked into the hospital nervous as ever for the surgery. The nurse showed me to my room and had me change into my stylish hospital gown. I changed and laid in the bed waiting. The nurse came back in with the I.V. and asked to see my registration bracelet. I confidently held up my arm and it was no where in sight. AAAAAAAHHHHHH! I panicked and made Jon search everywhere until he found it inside my coat where it had slipped off.

The nurse attempted to put in my I.V. and it didn't work. I got woosie and started to pass out. They threw an oxygen mask at me and tried to find the baby's heart rate. When the nurse finally found the heart rate, it was beating at 68 bpm (normal is 135-165.) "Great," I thought, "This is exactly what happened with Mollee. Here we go again."

The hospital staff quickly sent me to surgery and Logan was out within 15 minutes. The doctor yelled that he was bald and Jon's first comments were that he had cute feet. I was just concentrating on breathing. What I thought felt like a 12 lb baby inside of me was actually only 6 lbs. (Maybe I did eat one too many hamburgers this pregnancy.)

Recovery was harder this time despite my research showing that a second c-section is often easier. I was in a lot of pain, my blood pressure would not stabilize for a few hours after surgery, and I was really emotional, groggy, and dizzy. We stayed in the hospital for three days and the exicitement centered around the gossip among the nurses. We were chomping at the bit to get out.

Logan was groggy from the delivery as well and lost a lot of weight while he was in the hospital, but he has since found out that he loves to eat and is a milk machine. I am finally able to wean myself from pain pills long enough to know day from night. Jon is adjusting to fatherhood and motherhood since he has had to take on the responsibility of the household (and the blog - that was a very efficient post from him) while I have been recovering. Mollee is a little jealous of her new brother but is a big helper when she can control her attitude. Patches, our cat, has had the hardest time adjusting and just sits and hisses whenever Logan is in the same room. Apparently, he doesn't like that he has fallen from last importance to, well, last importance. He thinks that he has suffered an extreme fall in the ranks.

Baby Boy

Logan Mark Frazier
Born: February 10, 2010
at 7:47am (does this mean he'll be a pilot when he grows up?)
6 Pounds 11 Ounces (smaller than Mollee)
19.5 inches long (same as Mollee)
Aimee is slowly recovering from the C-section.
She will blog more when she recovers enough.
Mollee loved to come visit, although I don't know which she liked more:
seeing her little brother
or
eating oreo cookies that the nurses have brought

The baby's name????

Aimee and I are having a dispute about what to name our little boy who will be here in 3 weeks. We both went completely through a baby name book and really couldn't agree on anything. We thought about a name from the scriptures; specifically the Book of Mormon, but the only name we could agree on was Shiz. That name, however, would not go over well on the playground. So we decided to list all the names on the blog and see what everyone out there liked. So here they are in no specific order:

Sawyer

Joseph

Boston

Ethan

Logan

Max or Maximus

Mark

Anderson

Nathan

Jon Jr (just kidding)

We look forward to reading your comments so that we don't name the kid something that Aimee wants. hehe.
P.S. The picture is not our kid

Let the Countdown Begin

Last week, at the doctor's office, we got to schedule our C-Section appointment. So, how long do I have left? Well . . .
* I have 28 times left to drive to and from work wondering if today will be the day that I pee my pants in traffic.
* I have 21 more nights where I have to wake up too hot and then minutes later, wake up too cold.
* I have 14 more working days to restrain from punching the next person in the nose who asks me a stupid question or talks about how "huge" I've gotten since I've become pregnant.
* I have 5 more billboards to pass on my way home from work that need to expire.
* I have 4 more times that I have to bend over to clean that stinkin' spot behind the toilet, under the table, in the crack of the shower, etc.
* I have 3 more youth Sunday School lessons to prepare while trying not to envision suffocating the kids by sitting on them with my body mass.
* I have 2 more times to refill my Zofran prescription and listen to the pharmacists lovingly call me "preggers" and ask if this week was a little better than last week.
* I have 1 1/2 packages of 12-roll toilet paper to go through.
February 10th at 7:30 am cannot come fast enough! After that, I think I'm going to begin scheduling appointments for my OCD issue that I seem to have developed.

SHH, Be Still

It's morning time on Christmas Eve. Shhh, I finally have time to blog about the Christmas season. Mollee is actually awake, but she is refusing to get out of bed, and hey, I'm not going to push her!
Normally, we have a tradition of going out to Vernal to the Uintah Mountains to cut the most odd-looking Christmas tree from the tallest peak and haul it back to our house. I have been doing this since I was a wee child and my innocent little brothers would throw snowballs at me every time my parents were "searching" for the perfect tree. Ah, brings back memories of long, long car rides, singing perfectly in tune "shut your trap" to each other, and steaming hot chocolate mugs begin whacked upside our heads . . . all to end up in a very silent sobbing night. Who wouldn't want to miss that?

Well, everyone did. My sister refused to go because she's in the "teen I'm too cool for this" phase and both of my bros just absolutely said no. Unfortunately, I didn't want to haul my 7 month pregnant body up and over mountain after mountain, so . . . Jon, Mollee, and I decided to do the next best thing . . . find a tree at Smith's Marketplace.

Jon still pretended to cut down the tree and we warmed up inside the store. Cozy 106.5 was there and Mollee spun the wheel and won a pony movie.
Later this month, Mollee got to go have dinner with Santa at the Zoo Lights. Why is it that other children want items that Santa can afford like gum ball machines, toy dolls, etch-a-sketch while my kid asks Santa for a $200 talking Barbie house and a big toy (she means bike)?

This month has been filled with family, parties, fun, hard work (we're working on moving Mollee to a new room and revamping her room for the baby), and of course, doctor's appointments (3 this month). Time is marching on and it's almost a new year. The Frazier's want to wish you guys (if Aimee is saying it) or y'all (if Jon is saying it) a safe and happy holiday season.

Tryptophan Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was pretty much a yawner for us, however, my brother and his wife suprised us with having their baby girl, Nora, two weeks early. They had her via c-section on November 20th and were in the hospital for Thanksgiving. It seemed like the show just couldn't get going without them and I totally forgot to bring my camera to get a good pic. Ugh, onto Christmas . . .
